95% of the clothing items I've bought in the past 2 years, I got with my own money (I'm still a high school student = broke) so I've learned some tips & tricks when it comes to online shopping, looking good, and keeping up with trends.
As always, if you're lazy to read, I've created a YouTube video on the same topic.
We all want to stay up to trends, and constantly upgrade our wardrobe, but sometimes our wallet is just screaming NO.
Over the years, I've learned some tricks on how & where to shop to save a lot of money.
By the way, if you haven't already, check out the SALE section on my blog, I put links to the sickest items currently on sale. You can shop directly from the link, so check that out!
6 TIPS & TRICKS ↓
1.My favorite one - ASOS outlet. Try the asos.com outlet section, they have year round discounts up to 70%, it's just crazy how cheap things are there. I've been using it for a while now, and I can tell you it is definitely my favorite place to shop online.
2.Subscribe to newsletters. I know, they spam you with e-mails and it's very annoying, but it is also extremely beneficial! Go to your favorite brands websites & subscribe to their newsletters, I always do this, and I never miss out on their annual or semi-annual sales. If you're worried about the spam, create a new e-mail, solely for your newsletters.
3.Farfetch sale. As you may know, high-end designer brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, YSL and etc. never put their items on sale. I have always hated this, since I love sales, but I have recently found Farfetch.com sale section, where you can find discounted high-end designer items.
4.Shop smart. I have spent way too much money on things I end up re-selling and losing money, just because I wasn't sure I want the item. If the item isn't on sale, and you have nowhere to hurry, put the item into your wishlist and wait a couple days. If you keep thinking about the item, you definitely want it, if not, you probably shouldn't spend your money on it. + if you wait a couple days, the item might go on sale, you never know.
5.Price: Low to High. I know a lot of people do it, and I do it too. Whenever you're shopping on any e-shop, set your filter to Price: Low to High, this way you will have a feeling of the price increasing as you scroll down. This is extremely beneficial when shopping at sites like asos.com or topman.com, since they have A TON of items, and it's hard to sort through them. + You will be surprised how cheap you can get some cool items, I've only discovered that by using the Price: Low to High thing.
6.Thrift stores. Ok, enough of e-shops, lets get real. You may know I love shopping at thrift stores, and I feel extremely satisfied when I find a gem or a treasure box (of clothes) for cheap. I'd say more than half of my current wardrobe is thrifted, thrifting is not only a great way to save loads of money and have fun, but also contribute to the environmental issue and re-use old clothes, instead of throwing them out.
